Fun round with Grady today. Played the persimmon sticks. Greens were long and shaggy after being aerated, so putting was an adventure. I dinked it around to a 79, I think...found water on two holes and couldn't buy a putt. Grady shot something like a 74, highlighted by a 320 yard drive on 18 into a crosswind followed by a wedge to a foot for a kick in bird. The old lumber gets it out there. Rocketballz, eat your heart out.

I think what the book has benefited me the most is in the areas of course management and of taking it easy. A lot of the book is about getting out of our own way, and learning how to stop leaking strokes in our game.

My scores are starting to come around. Putting together some good stretches every round. I'm learning a lot.

Today I played a course I've never seen before. The greens were nice. Not crazy. The course was pretty old school and not horribly long but there were a lot of trees and high rough to deal with. I like courses like that a lot.
