Let me take you all back a little bit. I know I’ve asked you to do this many times but once again I think that it is time to indulge in the past just a little.

Gix Von Elm
The sun is finally shining and the temperature is rising once again here in Southern Ontario. I have to say that this winter was one of the most dismal in recent memory. Cold, then warm and slushy then bitterly cold again. Not great for the hockey rink and even skiing was not that much fun because the worst weather seemed to fall on the weekends when we would have a chance to indulge.

The Real Moe Norman
Quirky, strange, shy, introverted, sensitive, standoffish and a golf genius. These terms and many others have been bandied around for years whenever the name Moe Norman is brought up.

Why "The Dirt" Works
There is something happening in The Dirt and it is what we had hoped would happen when we created this place. People are absorbing all that they can and putting the pieces together to create great golf swings. Their own great golf swings. The picture to the left is of one of my favorite golf instruction books of all time. The very same book has also been released as "The Methods of Golf's Masters" with a variety of different covers.

Stick Your Landing
I was talking on the phone the other day with Jimmy Nissen. He had just finished reading George Knudson’s great book “The Natural Golf Swing”. Jimmy said “I know where you got all your stuff.”
I said “Of course Jimmy. Have you been asleep for the last two years? Anyone who read Secret In The Dirt knows how much of an influence Knudson and his ideas were on my understanding of the golf swing.” During the conversation it sort of dawned on me how much information I’ve taken in over the years and also how much we all tend to take for granted as we improve and learn more. The importance of new information supplants the old. It is sort of too bad because sometimes I think we actually wind up going backwards the more we learn.
