Well, the PGA Championship is over... and man it was a dooosey.
The most thrilling part for me was watching a guy pull out all of the stops to try to win a golf tournament. No laying up. No pussyfooting around. Just a guy pouring it hard to a tough, tough golf course. Playing smart, but not just playing it safe. I'm talking about a guy playing for glory on a stage where most of the participants spend most of their time worrying about the money. The guy of course was Elk. A look back at the near misses and one tough bounce tells the story. The shot at 17 was the shot that would have sealed the deal if it just sat. This was not Rickie Fowler laying up in Phoenix. This was a guy doing something bold to try to put a golf tournament out of reach. This was a guy jamming one right down the throat of a devilish hole with a tough pin and simply hitting it too pure.
A more just bounce on that green and Elk would simply have put the 2010 PGA Championship on the shelf.
Below are the Sunday highlights from our man Elk.
Man am I proud of what I watched today. No quarter was given today and it was great to watch!
