After studying my week one videos and conversing on the DOCF site, I have been trying to correct some faults in my swing. I have come a long way on the back swing from taking it outside and looping it, to taking it down the line with a smaller loop. Now I have finally begun to take the club in strait away and it has made my back swing. I thought I was doing it before but when I saw it on video I could see that I wasn't. Now, from going to such extremely different back swings it has changed my pivot quite a bit. It was kind of throwing me off balance taking it that far in. I have learned to counter balance with a little forward lean. My arms are going new places that feel very different, so my body is getting used to the change.  Taking it in has helped me horizontalize the swing coming down and really shallowed out my divots and my ball flight is more boring.  Taking the club in hard like this builds up much more torque going back and I am sometimes dumping the club a little early.

My swing thoughts are reverse roll taking the elbow back as far as I can along the rt. axis, belly roll, swing hard left coming through. I had a case of the high rights now I am at the perfect trajectory, but I am thinking these movements through as I swing, which is quite difficult. I'm finding myself standing over the ball too long, getting brain locked. I need to rehearse the movements and just feel it. After I get used to the back swing, I need to descifer the pivot. I can still feel my weight getting on my left toe a little on the through swing which pisses me off to no end. I need to get more rotation left with the hips coming through, giving my hands  some room to swing left. Of course, when I do this I tend to loose my spine angle and come up and out. Just minor tweaks. The set of the hips at address is still a little difficult to get used to with a K stance. I want to keep my hips level but I know I need to ride the right hip a little taller. Too much stuff going on in the head. Need to divide and conquer. Master a move and then move on to another. Stop trying to do it all at one time. I have not seen video on my extreme inward move off the ball, but plan to get some video soon.
