Rock, Bill, etal...let's get this going again! I'll start by saying after falling off the fitness wagon I'm going "public" to you guys to help hold me accountable. Week ago Monday I started the "Insanity" program. This is week 2 and one thing I remember from P90X is that once I got past week 2 I was rolling. What I'm saying is this is a "big" week for me to get over the hump and see this through. I've invited new dirter "Joe" over to jump in as well....let's go!

Ok Bill, 8th workout in 11 days today on the "insanity" series. I'm not going to wear the heart rate monitor every night like I did on p90x but I did tonight just to see what numbers I get. These are from the "plyometric cardio circuit" workout. 42 min. workout. Target heart rate zone is 131-149. I was below zone 1 min; in zone 13 min; above zone 28 min; 661 calories burned, 85 fat grams burned. Very similar numbers to p90x.

Very impressive to get the 14:02 time on the Kettlebell meltdown workout....that one is tough!

Sir yes sir HAHA

This will be good incentive for me. If you glike and get good results I want to give insanity a whirl

5 meals for me today about 1,600 calories I will enter in My fitness pal Jen told us about

Re: Dirters Weight Loss 1 year, 2 months ago #27671

Jim and Bill,
Thanks for reaching out to me...pulled my self out of the ditch this morning and ran 4 miles. Gained 4 pounds over vacation to put me at 191 pounds 24% body fat...11 pounds off my weight goal and 6% off Jen's definition of manhood. Got off track with Chocolate...started as a little bit and it is ending with all of the Chocolate Fudge Sundaes and other sweets I had over vacation...it sure tasted good, but I am carrying it around now so it will be gone in about 11 weeks. Also, didn't exercise regularly or with the intensity that I normally have. Looking forward to living healthy again and to get back on my plan. I am in with you. Here is a little Little River Band that was playing during my run and gave me some inspiration....time for a cool change...

Thanks,
Rock

Bill, Rock, etal....week 2 of "Insanity" program done, feel like I'm off to a good start. 10 workouts in the 14 days, my goal was to get 6 in this week and I did....! Not obsessing with the scale this time, my pants and belt are telling me what I need to know....

Bill, I am humbled...you are a beast! I did the 300 meltdown tonight, had your 13:33 mark in my scope....not even close! I got 15:35, an entire 2 minutes longer than yours...

I wore the heartrate monitor, estimated 350 cal burn, 45 fat grams in that 15:35 min. That is intense 15 minutes to say the least..

Rock, Bill, etal

Wanted to show you a couple of new pieces of workout equipment I've acquired. Tired of DVD workouts indoors. I've put a little "boot camp" workout together that I'm doing outside at home with the tire, the sledgehammer, a log, a rope and a good sized rock....mixing that in with the spartacus workouts, kettlebell 300 meltdown and other workouts I've found on youtube...enjoying not following the same dvd workouts in front of the tv.

Alrighty then, you guys have inspired me - After turning 50 in January and having slimmed down for a few previous years, the last two years I have seen my weight and spare tire increase at an alarming rate.

How does one go about joining this group and where does one go to find out Jennifer's tips and advice on eating and fitness?

I'm not a newb as far as living healthy is concerned, but, I will admit I do need some help in this season of life.
