I used to film my swing years ago and then got out of it because I was getting too into what it looked like than what it felt like . My results got better as soon as I stopped filming and got more into the feeling of the swing.
I have started on Bradley Hughes Super Slotting course and part of the package is that I meant to send him weekly footage of me doing his drills so that he can send me back recommendations to keep me on track. So I am considering buying a camcorder to fulfill this role but know nothing about what is good and what is not. I won't be using the camcorder for anything else and travel a lot so a good compact one would suit me best.
I want one that is simple to use and download with.
I would very much appreciate any advice and camcorder recommendations and when I know what I am looking for will hit Ebay. Thanks

John
Most cameras today do quite a nice job......you don't need anything expensive or crazy
I don't need to see the video in high speed ....in fact I don't want to see it in slo mo (hi speed mode)...I want to see the motion at full time real speed so I can see the dynamics of the move at real speed
I am sure people can recommend a camera they have had success with
Hi speed mode is more for your benefit than mine....as it may help you see a few things more easily.... I prefer it in real time motion
Something that doesn't flicker the shaft too much is best......but I have received videos from iphones, regular cameras etc etc....so long as the lighting is good that's all I need
For what it is worth I use a Casio EX-FH20 which I got a few years back for around US$400

Hi John,
I would definitely go for a Casio. I have one and you can do regular speed for Brad and a choice of high speed for yourself.
Make sure to buy a high speed SD card though or you will get frame dropping.
They are much better for golfers than a camcorder plus you get a pretty decent camera for everyday use.

if you got the coin to spend the ultimate consumer level device is Casio EX-F1. they dont make them anymore as it was more of look what we can do technology showcase rather than commercial product and they gone up in price like crazy on used market. it can do up to 1200fps at low res. in comparison to see very fine details of high speed golf swing like for example exactly what arms, wrists, hands are doing thru impact 300fps is sufficient. for a more reasonable price anything from Casio high speed line is good. they design them specifically for sports and that kinda thing and they aim to give you as accurate a picture as possible for the price. they have some software optimizations to minimize rolling shutter effects and such. low end any mobile phone can do it good enough nowdays and V1 even makes has their software available for iPhone and Android and you can use that as its compact and software has alignment aids so that you shoot FO and DTL from proper angles and you can send the video on the go if you are connected.
