jbird,
My first suspicion would be that you are not keeping your right shoulder high (higher than high) throughout the swing. That is the normal culprit for my fat shots.
This entails not only the right shoulder but the entire right side. Create and maintain a lot of space between your right shoulder and hip. See how that works.
Pivot,
Went out to the range today and focused on keeping the right shoulder up through impact and it worked beautifully. When I would hit some really good iron shots I could really feel it move more around than under. Thanks for the great advice. On the backswing I was really taking it in hard, but keeping the club outside the hands until about hip high. I shot my first video the other day (tried to post it unsuccessfully) and noticed my club was being taken outside on the back swing. I think this came from trying to transfer the "shovel" move over to full shots. Anyway, found the power slot again today and I was pressing the ball really good. Thanks for the good advice.
