That said, I never even knew driving range mats existed until I got into college...and I'd been playing golf (badly) for 15 years before that. All the ranges I ever knew as a kid were grass.
I don't buy the "mats will save golf" argument...golf's been around for a lot longer than artificial turf. ...

Jeff Sutton, James Tucker replied to the topic Re: How to really choose between driver models? in the forum. My experience is with Edwin Watts in Jacksonville, FL where I live. You give them your credit card number to secure the demo club and take it for a test run bring it back and they tear up the receipt. It really is the way to go. The presale is usually online. Taylormade made the R11s driver available before it was in shops at a discounted rate. Why you'd ever buy a club before gripping it is beyond me, but hey to each their own. Hopefully you can find a golf shop that will let you try clubs...

The big thing to remember is we don't want to be forcing a flat left wrist....trying to force it more often then not means it gets released anyhow....probably why you get a high trajectory even from a back ball position.
While the left wrist can appear...

SusanLawless created a new topic Do you prefer practicing on Mat or Grass? in the forum.I am assuming that most ranges just have mats and that this is where most people practice...I am lucky enough that near me there is one range which allows you to play of grass and to be honest I find this the most "realistic". Sure hitting off a mat can be useful for swing practice etc. but nothing like the real thing. And I endeavor now to just hit off the grass as much as I can...
What do you guys think? Does it really make much of a difference?

The Stance Phase of your swing is extremely important because it helps you to reduce the errors in your swing and hopefully improve your shot consistency. Variation in your swing can come from variation in your stance as well errors in the dynamic pa ... -

While I personally think it is ugly as hell it has worked and continues to work on the top level tours.
I don't think there is as much timing involved then some think.
