5 Popular Golf Destinations In Florida
Florida has geography as diverse as its southern heritage and scenic beauty as spectacular as its history. Over the years, the state has attracted top-notch golf architects to take advantage of the region's undulating terrains and low-lying marshlands to transform them into stunning golf courses. With pine-lined lush courses, world-class resorts, and proximity to endless array of theme parks, Florida golf destinations are easily among the world's most sought-after locations. No wonder, thousands of golfers throng the state throughout the year. In an effort to help you plan your dream golf vacation in Florida, we have made a list of five popular golf travel destinations in the Sunshine State:
    Miami
Miami is famous for its vibrant nightlife and spectacular white-sand beaches. Thanks to its year-long sunny weather, long coastlines and marshy wetlands, the gorgeous city at Florida's southeastern tip flaunts a golf-friendly landscape. There is little wonder that this premier vacation destination boasts of some of the US's most-visited golf courses including the legendary Doral Golf Resort and Spa, and Senator Course at Don Shula's among others. Add to this a wealth of museums, national parks and a vibrant Caribbean-influenced lifestyle and it becomes easy to justify the city's growing popularity among passionate golfers.
    Naples
Situated along the gleaming coastline of the Gulf of Mexico, Naples boasts of more than 50 championship courses in the surrounding area and 35 courses right in the city. Designed by some of the iconic golf architects including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, Arthur Hills, and Arnold Palmer, the golf communities and resorts in this bustling beach-city are top draws among global tourists. Besides its signature golf courses, the city has a number of public courses, a fact that attributes to its growing popularity among amateur golfers.
    Tampa Bay
Besides spectacular beaches along the tranquil blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico and sunny and warm climate throughout the year, the Tampa Bay area boasts of a number of world-class resorts and a bountiful private, upscale, daily-fee and semi-private golf courses. Being one of the popular host cities of the Super Bowl and home to dozens of amusement parks add to its attraction as one of the premier holiday destinations in the US.
    Orlando
It will not be an exaggeration to count Orlando among Florida's best five golf destinations. A home to over 123 courses within a 45-minute driving distance from downtown, Orlando easily justifies its position as a golfer's paradise. That's one of the reasons why some of the world's best golfers call Orlando home. For vacationers, the city offers a host of recreational
